“Feels like -5 degrees” is what the radio said during my drive down to Plymouth Harbor on Sunday. There would be no rescheduling… Courtney and Tyler were visiting from St. Louis, Missouri and we had set the date for their engagement session long ago. Despite the cold and wind, I had such a great time with these two. They had no choice but to cuddle up and that makes for the best photos. At one point, I was actually having trouble giving direction because my mouth was frozen, haha. Somehow, though, they figured out what I was trying to say and totally rocked it. Here are a few favorites!

Family Time!

I’ve been holding back some really fun family and kid sessions from the end of 2011. Now that Christmas cards have been sent and gifts have been given, I think they’re safe to post : )

Allison & Matt | Cape Cod Wedding

In addition to my own weddings, I also second shot several times in 2011. I love to second shoot. It’s always so interesting to see how another photographer works. It’s also a great opportunity to be creative. As the main photographer, it’s important to be creative but also to get all the safe shots. As a second shooter, I challenge myself to get a different perspective as much as possible… one that compliments what the main shooter is getting.

I second shot Allison and Matt’s wedding day with friend Stephanie O’Neill at the New Seabury Country Club. I had a great time helping her out and got to visit my family in the same weekend. Double win! Here’s a peek…

I started the day with the guys:

I’m not really one to push jumping shots, but the guys were all about it. I do love this! They executed the most visually balanced jump of all time… haha.

Sarah & Matt | Back Bay Engagement

Whew. I uploaded my last wedding of the year last night and it is such an amazing feeling to be fully caught up! I’m so excited to relax a bit, get in the Holiday spirit and catch up on some blogging… starting with Sarah and Matt!

For Sarah and Matt’s engagement session, we did a whirlwind tour of their Back Bay neighborhood and hit all the spots they love. From Daisy’s (they met there!), to their building’s roofdeck (so jealous), to the Public Garden. It really was perfect. Our session was in November but with fall coming so late this year, it turned out to be super colorful…

We found this little courtyard which I think is one of my favorite spots EVER. Could have shot the whole session right here : )

Meghan & Matt | Loon Mountain Wedding

I can’t imagine a better way to have ended my 2011 wedding season than with Meghan and Matt in New Hampshire. They were married at The Mountain Club on Loon. Meghan and Matt are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. It was so great to see them marry each other. I also loved seeing so many of my favorite Plymouth friends getting down on the dancefloor : )

Huge thank you to Stephanie O’Neill for making the trip with me! And of course, thank you so much to Meghan and Matt for sharing your day with us… here are some favorites!

We went down to the river bed for photos with Meghan and Matt and it was really cold. Meghan was all “lets do this!” and kicked off her shoes to climb up on the rocks. I know I say this a lot (because my clients are awesome) but YAY Meghan for being a trooper… so worth it! I hope you agree : )

Meghan’s dad made all the birch reception decor… centerpieces, table numbers, and much more…. so so awesome!

Kim & Tony | South Shore Country Club Wedding

It’s a little sad to be blogging my second-to-last wedding of the season but I am so excited to share some of Kim and Tony’s images with you all. Kim and Tony were married in Weyouth, MA and then celebrated at the South Shore Country Club in Hingham. Kim and Tony’s family and friends could not have been more welcoming and fun to be around. We also had lots of time for couple photos, which made me a very happy photographer. Ms. Molly Anne came along to second shoot. Kim and Tony, thank you so much for including us in your day… enjoy the preview!!

The plan was for us to head to Hingham Harbor after the ceremony for some portraits by the water. Kim and Tony had scoped out this awesome pier which technically may have still been under construction, haha. It was fun following the limo off-road and through the construction zone : )

This is a favorite… so perfectly Kim & Tony considering their affinity for forehead kisses…

Jenn, Nick, Vinnie & Frankie

Since last November, I’ve had a lot of people ask about “that cute kid” on my blog. Whenever I hear this, I pretty much know that they are talking about Vinnie. It was so great to catch up with Jenn, Nick and of course, Vinnie again this year. I love seeing how kids (and families!) have grown. Vinnie had some competition this time… little Frankie was so sweet! So good to see you guys. Enjoy the peek!

Vinnie is such a good big brother : )

Frankie was the perfect combination of awake and asleep. After some time outdoors, he went right to sleep in the basket!

This hat kills me. Would it be totally weird for me to put Frankie on MY Christmas card? Yes? Ok fine…
